A material used in severe conditions in nuclear power plants is Casted Stainless Steel ("CASS"). The grain structure of Casted Stainless Steel components makes these components challenging inspecting with conventional methods. In a test Acoustic Agree AB inspected a reference block with our patented NAW®-inspection. First the reference was "fingerprinted", after fingerprinting the block was returned to taskmaster who stressed buried cracks into same block once fingerprinted. Using same NAW®-inspection of same block Acoustic Agree AB could now detect changes in the reference block, damages was detected and located. The results show clear indications of presence of damage, and the techniques localization capability is shown.
